Anson Lake is an easy hike of about 2.2 miles in the Flaming Gorge Ranger District of Ashley National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back with a one-way climb of about 225 feet, from a low point of roughly 10,582 feet to a high of about 10,831 feet. The route is on natural surface, and both horses and bikes are allowed. Two other trails start right next to it: the Browne-Spirit Lake Trail and the Beaver Creek-Weyman Park Trail, each about 0.1 mile away. The Deadman - High Ridge hike is about 1.3 miles off. For an overnight stay, Browne Lake campground is about 6.4 miles away. Paddlers can head to Lodgepole Creek, about 8.1 miles away.
