Alpen Way Access Road is a short, easy hike in the Cedar City Ranger District of Dixie National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back of about 0.16 miles, with a total climb of about 55 feet from a low point of roughly 10,171 feet to a high of about 10,201 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Brian Head weather station show July highs around 71°F with lows near 42°F, while winter highs there stay in the 20s. The Vista Trail and the Lower Glitter mountain biking route both start about 0.1 mile away. The Wildflower mountain biking route is about 0.2 mile off. For an overnight stay, Yankee Meadow Campground lies about 6.8 miles away.
