Painted Canyon Sector is a climbing area within Amistad National Recreation Area in Texas, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing sectors, with Emerald Pools Sector and Candy Land each about 0.3 miles away and Fishing Hole about half a mile off. The area is a hub of sport climbing, with nine routes spread across a range of grades from 5.7 to 5.11. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Langtry weather station show March highs around 77°F and October highs around 84°F, while summer highs climb into the mid-90s. The routes here are all sport climbs. Among them are Picnic at 5.7, Piranha at 5.9 and Crackalicious at 5.10. Rabbit Rodeo is the hardest at 5.11.
