Franklin Mountain Range is a climbing area within Franklin Mountains State Park in Texas, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Flower Power Ledge and McKelligon Canyon each about half a mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in El Paso show April highs around 80°F and October highs near 79°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s with more wet days. The area has 17 routes, with mixed climbing the most common style. Grades run from 5.4 up to 5.10+, and sport climbing is also well represented. Among the routes are Right Corner at 5.4 and Mega Dose at 5.10+. Nearby, Thunderbird Trail and Ranger Peak Loop offer hiking within about 2 miles, and Mammoth Rock is a climbing area about 2 miles away.
