Crazy Cat, also known as Palisades, is a bouldering area in Texas, about half a mile from the town of Mission Hills. It sits among a cluster of hiking trails and climbing spots, making it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding area. The climbing here is all bouldering, with 17 routes spread across the site. Grades run from V0-1 up to V6, with V2 as the median. Among the named routes are Washboard Right at V0-1, Sick Cat Traverse at V4, and Sick kids at V6, the hardest listed. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in El Paso show April highs around 80°F and October highs near 79°F, while June and July average in the mid-90s. Monk's Trail is the closest hike, about 0.3 miles away, and New Year Boulder is a climbing area roughly 0.8 miles off. Franklin Mountain Range and McKelligon Canyon are both about 2.9 miles away.
