Buzzard Point is a climbing area in Tennessee within the Laurel Snow Pocket Designated State Natural Area, land managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits a short distance from several other climbing spots and trails in the same pocket of the natural area. Spring and fall bring the most comfortable climbing temperatures. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Dayton show April and October highs around 71°F with lows in the mid-40s, and since that station sits roughly 860 feet lower, temperatures at the crag usually run a bit cooler. Riverdance Boulder is just 0.2 miles away, and Dayton Pocket/Laurel Falls Bouldering and Vapor Lock Cave are each about 0.8 miles off for more climbing. Hikers can link up with the CT_Snow Falls Trail, roughly half a mile from the area.
