Warriors Path State Park is a 304-acre state park in Pennsylvania, about a mile from the town of Saxton. It is managed by the state park agency. The park makes a compact base for short walks, with several trails starting close by. Warriors Trail lies just 0.2 miles away, Island Farm Trail about 0.3 miles, and River Trail Loop roughly 0.4 miles, so a visit can easily string together more than one. September is one of the most comfortable times to go, with typical highs around 74°F and lows near 53°F at a nearby weather station in Altoona. Late spring is similar, as May typically brings highs near 71°F, though it also averages the most wet days of the year. Beyond the park's own trails, Weaver Falls Shelter sits about 3.4 miles away, and paddlers can head roughly 6.3 miles to Yellow Creek.
