Cow Lane is a short cross-country ski route in Pennsylvania, about 2.8 miles from the town of Marvin, New York, just across the state line. The route is rated easy and runs 0.17 miles one way, or about a third of a mile as an out-and-back. The terrain is flat, holding between roughly 1,650 and 1,660 feet in elevation, with only about 25 feet of climbing over the round trip. That makes it an easy stretch to link with other short runs or to use for practice. Winter brings the ski conditions. January at a nearby weather station typically sees highs around 32°F and lows near 16°F, and the route sits a few hundred feet higher than that station, so expect it to run a little cooler. Several other short ski routes sit about 0.1 miles away, including "A" Frame, Schoolyard and Swamp Fox. French Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 9.4 miles off.
