Doc's Hill is a short cross-country ski trail in Pennsylvania, about 2.3 miles from Marvin, New York, just across the state line. The trail itself runs 0.34 miles, and it is rated hard. Skied as an out-and-back, the full trip covers about 0.68 miles with roughly 130 feet of climbing round trip. That matches the 127 feet gained one way on the way up. The route starts around 1,640 feet and tops out near 1,740 feet, with a low point close to 1,600 feet. Most of the climbing comes early, and the steepest pitch, about an 8 percent grade, arrives roughly 0.13 miles in. For skiing, the coldest stretch runs from January into February. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show highs of about 32 to 34°F and lows around 15 to 16°F in those months, and temperatures on the hill, which sits a few hundred feet higher than the station, run a bit cooler. Doc's Hill sits within a tight cluster of other ski trails. KC Cut and Jim's Hunt are each about 0.1 miles away, and Miss T's Ridge and The Boys are about 0.2 miles off, so it's easy to link several runs in one outing.
