Pipeline Trail is a short, flat mountain biking route in Clear Creek State Forest in Pennsylvania, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The trail is an out-and-back that starts and ends at nearly the same elevation, with a high point of 1,505 feet and a low of 1,499 feet. The climb is minimal, with a total gain and loss of 28 feet each way, and the steepest stretch is only about 2% grade at roughly 0.11 miles in. The most comfortable months for riding are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Franklin, PA, show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 74°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. That station sits roughly 500 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler. The trail sits among several other mountain biking routes. Sripmine Trail and Rock Oak Trail are each about 0.1 miles away, and Connector Trail (MTB) is about 0.3 miles off. For a hike, Sandy Creek Trail is about 6.4 miles away.
