Eagle #1 Path is a short, easy mountain biking route in Braddocks Trail Park in Pennsylvania, set within a cluster of trails that make it easy to string together a longer ride or a walk. The path is an out-and-back, about 0.28 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 79 feet. It starts at roughly 1,080 feet and reaches a high point of about 1,090 feet before returning to the start. The climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 0.08 miles in, where the grade reaches about 3%. The route is so short that it works well as a warm-up or a break between other trails in the park. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in McKeesport show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 77°F, with July the warmest month at about 85°F. That station sits about 350 feet lower than the path, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler. Several other trails lie within a short distance. Braddock Trail and Pipsissewa Trail are both mountain biking routes about 0.1 mile away, and the Mauch Chunk Trail is a hike at a similar distance. Forest Path is a mountain biking route about 0.4 mile away.
