Advanced MTB Trail is a short, flat out-and-back route in Pennsylvania, about a mile from the town of Patagonia. The trail is only about a third of a mile long, with a total elevation gain of 36 feet, so it's a quick ride for riders looking to warm up or break up a longer day on the trails. The route is nearly flat, with the steepest stretch at about 5% grade near the start. The high point is 1,003 feet, and the low point is 963 feet, so the climb is gentle and the return is just as easy. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 74°F, with fewer wet days than the rest of the year. Several other mountain biking routes sit right next to this one, including Buhl Green MTB Trail and MTB Climbing Trail, each about 0.1 mile away. For a place to stop, Shenango Lake Mahaney Outflow Riverview Picnic Shelter is about 1.8 miles off.
