Wallalute Falls is a waterfall in Oregon's Mount Hood Wilderness, within the Hood River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest. The nearest town is Parkdale, about 8 miles away, and the falls sit at roughly 4,900 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. Several other destinations are close by. Tilly Jane campground is about half a mile away, and the Eliot West Moraine and Eliot Glacier hikes are each under a mile off. Paddlers can head to Clear Branch, about 3 miles away.
