Milo McIver State Park

Oregon

About

Milo McIver State Park is a 977-acre Oregon state park about 2 miles from the town of Estacada. It's a place to base yourself rather than a single route: five campgrounds sit inside the park. Summer is the driest and most settled time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Estacada put July and August highs in the low 80s °F, with only four or five wet days a month, compared with around 20 wet days a month in winter. Trails start right at the park's doorstep. Vortex Trail lies about 0.3 miles away and Riverbend Trail about half a mile off, so a walk is easy to fit around a camping stay. For paddling, Clear Creek is roughly 2 miles away. Climbers can head to Hardscrabble Wall, about 7.4 miles from the park.
