Fishing Rock State Recreation Site

Oregon

About

Fishing Rock State Recreation Site is a small 7-acre park on the Oregon coast, about 2 miles from the town of Lincoln Beach. Its compact size makes it an easy stop on a day spent exploring the surrounding area rather than a destination that fills a whole day on its own. Late summer into early fall brings the mildest weather, with typical highs around 65 to 66°F and lows near 51°F in July and August, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Newport. Even in midwinter, typical highs stay in the mid-50s. Nearby options include the Depoe Bay Park Trail, about 2.6 miles away, and the Alder Island Nature Trail at roughly 4 miles. Paddlers can head to Cedar Creek, about 7 miles off, or the D River, a little under 9 miles away.
