Revenge Trail

Revenge Trail is a short, out-and-back cross-country ski route in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, on the Hood River Ranger District. It is a hard climb, rising about 150 feet in each direction over a total of about half a mile, with the steepest stretch at around 12% grade at the start. The trail begins at an elevation of about 4,217 feet and reaches a high point of 4,319 feet. Because the route is short and the climb is steep, it works best as a quick addition to other time in the area. Summer is the most comfortable season for a visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Government Camp, Oregon, show July and August highs around 69 to 70°F, with only about four wet days a month. Winter is cold and wet, with January highs near 37°F and lows around 26°F. The Hemlock Trail and Spruce Trail both lie within a third of a mile and are easy to link with this route. For overnight stays, Badger Lake and Bonney Meadows campgrounds are both within about 4 miles.
