Funner is a mountain biking route in the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District of Deschutes National Forest, about a mile from the district's boundary and within the Forest Service's lands. The ride is an out-and-back, roughly 2.2 miles long, with a total climb of about 580 feet, which means you'll reach about 4,820 feet before returning to the starting point at about 4,540 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sunriver show July highs around 84°F with lows near 41°F, and September is still mild at about 76°F by day. Tiddly Winks, a mountain biking spot, and the Funner (Cowbell) and Larsen hikes all lie about half a mile away. The Deschutes River offers paddling roughly 9 miles off.
