Escape from Moscow is a short, easy mountain biking route on Bureau of Land Management land in Oregon, within the Prineville Deschutes Field Office. It is an out-and-back ride of about 3 miles, with a high point of about 4,117 feet and a total elevation gain of about 678 feet over the round trip. The route is an out-and-back, and the climb starts to pick up around the 0.85-mile mark, with a steepest grade of about 12%. The route is rated easy, so it works well as a quick ride or a short break from the surrounding trails. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bend show July highs around 84°F with lows near 49°F and only about two wet days, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and a few snow days a month from December through February. Several hiking trails sit close by. Parkway is about 0.1 mile away, Sand Canyon is about half a mile off, and Dry River Trail and Badlands Rock Trail are both within about 1.3 miles.
