About Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation
Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation is a nonprofit established in 1927 that runs competitive snow sports programs in alpine ski, Nordic ski, freeride, and cycling. The Cascade Crest Nordic Race & Tour, held April 3rd, 2027, is the end-of-season culmination of the Mt. Bachelor Cup series. The event offers four race distances on the Mt. Bachelor trail system: a 50k self-reported freestyle skate or classic race (18+ years or by special allowance), a 25k race winding through the Mt. Bachelor trails to Todd Lake Road and Dutchman Flat Meadow (16+ years), a 12.5k race sharing a portion of the 25k loop (13+ years), and a 5k loop through Dutchman Flat Meadow (12 and under). Participants can also enter as a 2-person relay team completing 25k each. The foundation holds Silver Level Certified Club status from U.S. Ski & Snowboard and was named 2024 Development Club of the Year.
