Toketee Lake is a short, easy hike in the Diamond Lake Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 0.8 miles long and rises only 22 feet from its starting point, making it a gentle out-and-back that fits easily into a longer day in the area. The route reaches a high point of about 2,483 feet, with the steepest stretch coming at roughly 0.3 miles in. The trail surface is natural, and bikes are allowed, so it works for hikers and riders alike. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Toketee Falls show July and August highs around 85 to 86°F with only a few wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and frequent rain. The Toketee Group Site and Toketee Lake Campground both sit about half a mile away, and the North Umpqua Trail: Hot Springs is also within half a mile. Toketee Falls is about 0.7 miles off.
