Tie-In Trail #5006 is an easy hike of about 1.5 miles in the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness, part of the Prairie City Ranger District of Malheur National Forest in eastern Oregon. The trail is an out-and-back, and it starts at an elevation of about 7,000 feet. The high point on the route reaches about 7,007 feet, and the total climb is roughly 750 feet, with about half of it in each direction. The trail is a rolling walk, and the steepest section comes early, about 0.3 miles from the start, with a grade of about 19 percent. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is short enough to fit into a day of exploring the wilderness around it. Several other trails lie close by. Slide Basin Trail #372 is about half a mile away and Strawberry Basin Trail #375 is about 0.6 miles off.
