Isherwood Trail is an easy, short out-and-back hike of about 2.7 miles, with a low point of 5,973 feet and a high of 6,038 feet. It sits within the Sky Lakes Wilderness, part of the Klamath Ranger District of the Fremont-Winema National Forest in southern Oregon, and the land is managed by the Forest Service. The climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 0.28 miles, a 5% grade. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at a similar elevation show July and August highs around 69°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings highs near 33°F and rain on roughly 18 days. Several trails start close by. Cold Spring Trail, South Rock Creek Trail and Snow Lakes are each about 0.3 miles away, and Sky Lakes is about a mile off. For an overnight base, Fourmile Lake Campground lies about 7 miles away.
