Isherwood is an easy, 2.8-mile out-and-back hike in the Sky Lakes Wilderness, within the Klamath Ranger District of the Fremont-Winema National Forest in southern Oregon. The trail's modest elevation gain of 93 feet, along with its location inside designated wilderness, sets it apart as a short outing that fits easily into a day of exploring the surrounding area. The route starts at about 6,022 feet and reaches a high point of 6,047 feet. It is a natural-surface trail that is not accessible, and it is open year-round. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 69°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 30s and frequent rain. Several other trails sit within a short distance, including South Rock Creek Trail and Snow Lakes, both about half a mile away, and Cold Spring Trail at about 0.9 miles. For camping, Fourmile Lake Campground lies roughly 8 miles from the trail.
