The Intertie Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike on the William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon, managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The trail is about a mile long, with a high point of 400 feet and a low of 342 feet, and it gains about 104 feet in elevation over the course of the round trip. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.4 miles in, with a grade of about 11 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 82°F with only about two wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on most days. The trail makes an easy pairing with other short walks in the refuge. Mill Hill Trail is about 0.1 mile away and Woodpecker Loop Trail about 0.3 mile. Beaver Pond Trail is roughly 0.7 mile off, and paddlers can reach Muddy Creek, about 1.8 miles away.
