Huckleberry Lake is an easy, short out-and-back hike in Oregon's Willamette National Forest, within the Middle Fork Ranger District. The trail is about 0.8 miles long, and the climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.2 miles. The high point is 4,958 feet, and the trail's surface is natural. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is open from June through October. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 73 to 74°F, with only about three wet days a month. Winter brings highs in the mid-30s and frequent snow days, with October and November seeing a return to more rain. The trip takes about half an hour. Huckleberry Flats ATV #107 and #108C lie about 1.4 miles away. Blair Lake Campground is about 3.5 miles off, and Tumble Creek, a climbing area, is about 3.4 miles away.
