The Rogue River runs through Oregon, about 0.6 miles from Grants Pass. The river is a fishing destination managed by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the surrounding area is a mix of trails and waterways, making it easy to pair a day on the water with a short walk nearby. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Grants Pass show May highs around 74°F and September highs around 84°F, with July and August climbing to about 91°F and only a few wet days each month. Winter brings highs in the upper 40s and rain on roughly 17 days a month.
