Yellowjacket Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Emigrant Creek Ranger District of Oregon's Malheur National Forest. It is a simple, low-service base for overnight stays, with vault toilets as the only listed amenity. Fees are charged for camping here. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Seneca show July and August highs around 82°F, with lows near 35 to 39°F and only three or four wet days a month. Winters are cold, with January highs around 36°F and lows near 11°F. The closest neighbor is Emigrant Creek, about 5 miles away, a canoeing spot on the creek. Falls and Emigrant campgrounds are both roughly 7 miles off and make good options for a second base.
