Sandbeach is a Forest Service campground in the Siuslaw National Forest on the Oregon coast. It sits within the national forest's network of recreation sites, and the Forest Service manages the land. The site is a simple base for an overnight stay rather than a destination with a long hike built into it. Facilities include flush toilets, and a fee is charged for use. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. At the nearby Cloverdale weather station, July and August typically average highs around 69 to 70°F, with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 50s and rain on roughly 16 to 19 days. Two other campgrounds, West Winds and East Dunes Campground, are each about 0.2 miles away. The Whalen Island Loop and Estuary View Trail are within a mile and a half.
