Holbrook Reservoir is a Forest Service campground in the Bly Ranger District of Oregon's Fremont-Winema National Forest. It sits in the high country, and the nearest town is Gerber, about 15 miles away. The site has vault toilets, and no fees are required to use it. That makes it a simple base for an overnight stay in the area, with no cost to set up camp. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the Gerber Dam weather station, about 15 miles away, show July highs around 86°F with lows near 48°F, while winter highs stay in the low 40s. Lofton Reservoir is about 1.7 miles away, and the Lofton Loop and Lofton to Heart Lake hikes start close by. Paddlers can head to Fishhole Creek, roughly 5 miles off.
