East Dunes Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Siuslaw National Forest on the Oregon coast, about 6.5 miles from the town of Cloverdale. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds, with West Winds and Sandbeach both within a quarter mile, and Cape Lookout State Park Campground about 4 miles away. The site has flush toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Cloverdale weather station show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 50s and rain on most days. Several trails and paddling routes lie close by. The Whalen Island Loop is about a mile away, the Estuary View Trail about 1.4 miles, and Sand Creek offers canoeing roughly 2.9 miles off. Cape Lookout State Park Campground is the closest other campground, about 4 miles away.
