Chinquapinn Camp is a Forest Service campground in the Wild Rivers Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in southern Oregon. It sits among a cluster of other recreation sites, with Chinquapin Group Campground just 0.1 mile away and the Grayback campground and Grayback Interpretative hike within a third of a mile. The site is a simple base for an overnight stay. Vault toilets are the only facility listed, and a fee is charged for use. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Cave Junction show May highs around 76°F and September highs around 87°F, while July and August average about 94°F. That station sits roughly 470 feet lower than the camp, so temperatures here run a little cooler. Nearby options include the Cave Creek Trail about 2.3 miles away and paddling on Grayback Creek, about 2.9 miles off.
