Broken Bowl is a Forest Service campground in the Middle Fork Ranger District of Oregon's Willamette National Forest, about a mile from the Clark Creek area. It sits among a cluster of other recreation spots, including Dolly Varden campground, which is only about 0.3 miles away. The most comfortable time to visit is summer. Typical July and August highs reach about 80°F with only around four wet days a month, according to averages from a nearby weather station. Winter there is cold and wet, with typical highs in the upper 40s and rain on about 17 to 20 days a month from December through February. A fee is charged for recreation at this site. Plan on a few other places within a short drive. Clark Creek Organization Camp and the Clark Creek Nature Trail are about 1.6 miles away, Clark Butte is about 2.8 miles away, and paddlers can find Little Fall Creek about 3.9 miles away.
