Dolly Varden is a Forest Service campground in the Middle Fork Ranger District of Oregon's Willamette National Forest. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds and trails, with Broken Bowl just 0.3 miles away and Clark Creek Organization Camp about 1.8 miles off. The site is simple, with vault toilets as the only listed amenity. A fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 80°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on most days. Clark Creek Nature Trail is about 1.9 miles away, and Clark Butte is about 2.9 miles away. Paddlers can head to Little Fall Creek, roughly 3.7 miles off, and climbers will find Lookout Point about 5.8 miles away.
