The Pit is a climbing area in eastern Ohio, about half a mile from the small community of Logtown. It sits within a tight cluster of crags and boulders, so a visit here usually ties in with several neighboring walls just steps away. The most comfortable climbing weather tends to come in late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 70°F with lows near 48°F in May to highs near 74°F with lows around 52°F in September. Midsummer is warmer, with typical July highs in the low 80s, while winter highs stay in the 30s. Front Wall, Right Main Wall and Left Main Wall are all about 0.1 mile away, and Big Cliffs lies roughly 0.2 mile off. For a change from climbing, West Fork Little Beaver Creek offers paddling about 4 miles away.
