Big Cliffs is a climbing area in Ohio, about a mile from the town of Lisbon. It sits among a cluster of named climbing spots, with The Middle Cliff and Parking Lot Boulders each about 0.1 mile away and Front Wall about 0.2 mile off. The Pit and Left Main Wall are also within a quarter mile. The area has three routes, two of them sport and one trad, with grades ranging from 5.2 to 5.8. Practice Route is the easiest at 5.2, and Shining Knight is the trad option at 5.8. The climbing is compact, so it works well for a short session or a day spent exploring the surrounding boulders and walls. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 70°F in May to about 74°F in September, with July peaking near 82°F. Winter is cold, with January highs around 34°F. West Fork Little Beaver Creek, a paddling spot, lies about 4 miles away.
