The Cove Trail is a short, easy hike in Caesar Creek Recreation Area in Ohio, managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. The route is 0.43 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 36 feet, and it runs from a low point of about 867 feet to a high of about 913 feet. The steepest stretch comes early on, at about 0.08 miles in, with a 7% grade. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Xenia show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 77°F, with September also seeing the fewest wet days of the year. Bikes and horses are not allowed on this trail. Horseshoe Falls Trail and The Peninsula Trail both start about 0.2 miles away, and Caesar Creek Gorge Loop Trail is about 0.7 miles off. Caesar Creek Lake, about a mile away, offers fishing.
