Mound Road Connector Trail is a short, easy hike in Caesar Creek Recreation Area in Ohio, managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. The trail is about 0.37 miles long, and the round trip adds up to roughly 0.74 miles with a total climb of about 157 feet. The route is out and back, and the steepest stretch comes early on, around 0.2 miles in, with a grade of about 11 percent. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Xenia show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 77°F, with September also seeing the fewest wet days of the year. The Campground Loop Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Deer Run Trail and Turkey Run Loop Trail are both within half a mile. For fishing, Caesar Creek Lake is about 5.9 miles off.
