West Side Boulders is a bouldering area in North Carolina, about 0.7 miles from the town of Sunny View. It is a cluster of boulders rather than a single climb, and the routes here are all boulders, with grades ranging from V0 to V10. The hardest of them, The End, is a V10, and the easiest, My Adidas, is a V0. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically spring and fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Lake Lure show October highs around 72°F with lows near 47°F, and April is similar at about 72°F by day and 44°F at night. Midsummer runs hotter, with July highs averaging about 88°F. The Obscure Area and French Maid Area are both climbing areas within about 2.6 miles. The Mountain Laurel Trail and Mountain Vista Trail are hiking options about 2 miles away.
