It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Dog and Pony Show Area, Meat Puppet Crag, Fire Wall and Last Wall all about 0.1 mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury show October highs around 70°F with lows near 47°F, and April is similar at about 70°F by day and 44°F at night. That station sits roughly 677 feet lower than the Amphitheater, so temperatures here run a little cooler.
