Wood & Waters Trail (Red) is a cross-country ski route in northern New York, about a mile from the village of Keese Mill. It is a short, moderate outing that covers roughly two-thirds of a mile out and back, with a total of about 20 feet of elevation gain and loss, so it works well as a quick loop or a stop between other routes in the area. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show January highs around 25°F with lows near 2°F, while February and March are only slightly warmer. That station sits at nearly the same elevation as the trail, so conditions here should run close to those figures. Logger's Loop (Olive) and Skidder Trail are both about a tenth of a mile away. Esker Trail and Draper Lussi are each about 0.2 miles off, and the K: Northern Region climbing area is roughly 4 miles away.
