White is a cross-country ski route in Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It's a short out-and-back of about half a mile, with a total elevation gain and loss of 180 feet. The route starts and ends at about 1,014 feet, and the high point is 1,122 feet. The steepest stretch comes early on, around 10% grade at about 0.11 miles. Winter is the natural season for cross-country skiing here. Typical averages from the Stormville weather station, about 6 miles away, show January highs near 35°F and lows around 17°F, with February the mildest month at highs near 39°F. The Yellow route and the Blue + Yellow route are both about 0.3 miles away. For a change of pace, the Pelton Pond Trail and Roaring Brook Trail are hikes within a mile.
