Blue is a cross-country ski route in New York, about 0.9 miles from the village of Gulick. It is a short out-and-back, about half a mile long, with a front-loaded climb that reaches a high point of 1,747 feet. The route starts near 1,745 feet and ends at about the same level, so the total gain and loss are each about 61 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, around 0.05 miles in, with a grade of about 5 percent. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. January and February typically see highs in the low to mid 30s and several snow days a month, according to typical averages from a nearby weather station in Honeoye. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler. Orange and Yellow, two other cross-country ski routes, both lie about 0.1 mile away, and Green is about 0.2 mile away. For a change from skiing, the Red Trail hike is about 1.4 miles off.
