Snake Rock is a bouldering area in Central Park in New York City, on city land. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Shit Rock and Worthless Boulder each about 0.1 mile away and Westside Outcrops about 0.3 mile off. The area is all bouldering, with five routes ranging from V1 to V7, so it works well for climbers who want to move between problems in a short stretch. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 85°F. The routes here are all bouldering, and the grade range runs from V1 to V7. Serpentine is the easiest at V1, and Inside-out Snake is the hardest at V7.
