Lean-To Campsite #8
Campground
White Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in Graham Hills County Park in New York, on land managed by county authorities. The trail is an out-and-back about 1.3 miles long, with a total climb of about 397 feet from the low point at 411 feet to the high at 607 feet. It starts and ends in the same place, so the 196-foot gain and 196-foot loss are both one way. The steepest part comes near the beginning, at about 13%, which makes it a gentle climb to work around. Late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 69°F in May to about 74°F in September, with July the warmest at about 83°F. Several other mountain biking routes sit right beside the trail, including the Emergency Access Trail (Summit) and the Red Trail, each about 0.1 mile away. Farther out, the Bronx River offers canoeing about 5 miles off, and the Armonk Cliffs climbing area is about 5 miles away.
