My Favorite Trail is a short, moderate mountain biking ride on county land in Westchester, New York. The route is an out-and-back that covers about 1.8 miles and climbs roughly 425 feet from a starting elevation of 439 feet to a high point of 491 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.64 miles, with a grade of about 10%. The trail sits on County of Westchester land, and the closest towns are in the surrounding area. Several other riding routes lie within a short distance, including Sitting Duck and Blue Mountain Summit Trail, each about 0.1 mile away, and Myx Monster at about 0.2 mile. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Shrub Oak weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-80s. Rocky Glen Pond, a climbing area, is about 0.5 mile away, and Blue Mountain Park is about 0.7 mile away. The Croton River, a paddling route, is about 4.6 miles off.
