Pine Meadown Trail is a short, easy hike in Sterling Forest State Park in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. The route is about 1.3 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 190 feet. It is a point-to-point trail, and the climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.18 miles from the start. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 75°F, with lows in the 40s and 50s. Pine Meadow lies just 0.1 mile away, and the Augusta Mine Trail and Mckeags Meadow are both within a mile. Climbers can find the C U P area about 5.5 miles off.
