Fox Run Trail is a short, easy hike in New York, about 0.4 miles long and rising about 90 feet from a low point of 415 feet to a high of 549 feet. It starts at roughly 482 feet, and the steepest stretch comes early, with a 15% grade at about 0.09 miles in. The nearest town is Bedford Four Corners, about 1.4 miles away. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 74°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. The trail is a point-to-point route, and the climb is gentle enough to fit into a longer outing. Sentry Ridge Trail, Laurel Trail and Veery Trail all lie about 0.2 miles away, and Westmoreland Sanctuary, a climbing area, is also about 0.2 miles off.
