Upper East Fork (UEF) is a climbing area in the Jemez Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. It sits close to a cluster of other climbing spots, with Monster Wall just 0.1 mile away and Spaghetti Western Wall and The Amphitheater each about 0.2 mile off. The area is a hub for sport climbers, with a single traditional route among its nine listed routes, and it works well as a base for a longer day in the Jemez. The climbing here is mostly sport, with grades ranging from 5.7 to 5.12a. Some of the named routes are Solestice at 5.7, Titty Time Bomb at 5.8, and Flying Spaghetti Monster at 5.12a. For those who want to pair climbing with time on foot, the North East Fork hike starts about 0.4 mile away, and the East Fork Trail (137) is roughly 1.7 miles off. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit, with typical July highs around 74°F and lows near 45°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Los Alamos.
