This climbing area sits in the Silver City Ranger District of Gila National Forest in southern New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. It is a bouldering and sport climbing destination with 12 routes, including seven boulders and five sport routes, and it works well as a base for exploring the surrounding trails. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Ft Bayard weather station show May highs around 80°F and October highs around 74°F, while July and August bring highs near 88°F and about 13 wet days a month. The bouldering routes here range from V1 to V5, with "Just Burn it Already" at V1 and "Senseless Violence" at V5. Sport climbers will find grades from 5.9 up to 5.12. The closest trail is Thirty Something, about 0.1 mile away, and Little Walnut Road is about half a mile off. Sycamore Canyon and the Continental Divide Trail are both within about 2 miles.
