Wingdam Trail is a 1.2-mile easy hike in Wawayanda State Park in New Jersey, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The trail is a point-to-point route, and the climb is gentle, with a total gain of 191 feet and a steepest stretch of about 29% at roughly 0.67 miles in. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Bikes and horses are both allowed on the trail. The Wawayanda Lake Loop Trail and Boulder Garden Trail are each about 0.7 miles away, and the Laurel Pond Trail is about 1.1 miles off. Paddlers can find Wawayanda Creek about 5.9 miles away.
